Welcome to Alaskan Wooden Bear Cabins

Alaskan Wooden Bear Cabins is located on Alaska's world famous Kenai Peninsula just a few minutes drive to the Kenai River and a short drive to many other lakes and rivers in the area such as ( Russian River, Kasilof River, Anchor River, Ninilchik River, Deep Creek, Swanson River and the Swanson River canoe trails, Skilak Lake, Kenai Lake, Clam Gulch beach, Homer and Seward and many more fishing, hunting, hiking and other recreational opportunities ). We opened for business in 2006. The handcrafted log cabin was built to provide an authentic Alaskan experience and still provide the comforts of home. The most frequent compliment received in 2006 was that the log cabin is very clean, tastefully decorated and rustic, yet astonishingly comfortable and inviting, guests said that Alaskan Wooden Bear Cabins has the kind of old fashioned rustic setting that they expected to see in Alaska. The authentic handcrafted log cabin, log furniture and carvings were all built by the host's, family and friends. When you stay at Alaskan Wooden Bear Cabins you will be greeted with a warm and friendly welcome from your cabin host and owner Kim Sangder, or fishing guide Guy Lane. Kim and Guy moved to the Kenai Peninsula 10 years ago, with the dream of building a log cabin and starting a fishing guide service. Your fishing guide Guy Lane lived in Western Washington, Montana and South East Alaska working in the logging industry and log home construction. He is an avid outdoorsmen, fishing and hunting the Pacific Northwest and Alaska for over 20 years. Guy has been a licensed guide for the past seven years,certified from the US Coast Guard and insured to provide a safe, professional guided fishing experience. In the event Guy is not available then you will be fishing for king, silver, or sockeye salmon with another experienced licensed and friendly guide. Kim can schedule fjord glacier cruises where you can watch the glaciers calf into the ocean and watch wales, sea lions and other marine life, a fly out combo of bear viewing and salmon fishing or a trip to Seward or Homer for halibut fishing. Alaskan Wooden Bear Cabins is a small family orientated business and would love to have you as a guest and help you experience Alaska, the Last Frontier.
